Overlooking the gentle flow of the Arno River, Flora & Fauno restaurant is set in a place rich in history: the ancient Casaccia di Bellariva, once home to Dante Alighieri’s family, noble Florentines, and later, the free spirits of the 19th-century Macchiaioli painters. Today, those spaces come back to life through simple and welcoming elegance: interiors with a country-chic charm, carefully designed to evoke the warm and intimate atmosphere of a Tuscan countryside home, nestled in greenery yet just steps from the city. The restaurant features two refined indoor dining rooms and a charming outdoor veranda overlooking the hotel’s swimming pool. Every corner invites relaxation, enveloping guests in beauty and offering an experience that engages all the senses. In the kitchen, Chef Kevin Mazzolin passionately and creatively reinterprets the great classics of Florentine tradition: Crunchy pappa al pomodoro (tomato and bread soup), Homemade fresh pasta, The sumptuous bistecca alla fiorentina, slowly grilled over charcoal. Each dish is a journey through time and flavor, blending ancient memories with contemporary inspirations. Flora & Fauno is more than a restaurant: it is an experience of taste, history, and warmth, to be enjoyed in a secret and authentic corner of Florence. Dante’s Bar, a cozy English-style bar overlooking the swimming pool in our outdoor garden, is the perfect spot for a delicious aperitif. Here, guests can settle into leather sofas or sit at the large Victorian bar counter—an original piece from late 19th-century London—and enjoy a fine local wine or a soothing herbal tea.
